No system is entirely bug free, and no
system is so perfect it cannot be improved based on suggestions from the
people who use it every day.
Second Person
Plural's bug tracking system, Br'er Fox (for Bug
Reports and Enhancement
Requests in
Foxpro), provides a forum for all of our clients to easily
report bugs and suggest enhancements. Every entry goes straight into our
database of issues and ideas, monitored and responded to as quickly as
possible. And for every new item, our developers are notified by e-mail,
so there's no overlooking your concerns. As we take action on the item, we
update its status so that you can easily track its progress.
The opening page lists all of our software
products; simply select the one you are using to go to the page of
existing bugs and enhancement requests.
To enter a
new Bug Report or Enhancement Request, click on the button below the list
to bring up the data entry form, then complete the blanks and click on
Save and Close.
To see what others have reported/requested or to check
on the status of a report or request you have previously submitted, click
on the Edit icon for the desired item.
There is even an area for playing or testing: when asked
for System name, choose 'Just Testing' and enter whatever you wish.
A Demonstration of the Technology
Br'er Fox has been developed using
the same technologies and approaches that we use for all of our
web-enabled systems, so although it is very simple, it provides an idea of
what your system could look and operate like should you need to provide
web access to your operators.
